I said it before, but I’ll say it again – I LOVE Thanksgiving!
I’m not hosting this year, but I did last year and it was pretty much stress-free because I had a plan. Well, not so much a plan as a minute-by-minute agenda.
Overkill? Maybe. But everything got done and on the table. At the same time.
If you’re hosting this year have a “day-of” game plan so you won’t be stressed. Actually, a “week-of” game plan is even better but a “day-of” plan is the most essential. Make sure you build some grace into your schedule. Assume things will take a wee bit longer than you expect, that way you won’t end up running behind.
This year we’re headed to my SIL’s house and everybody’s pitching in. I’m bringing rustic rolls, broccoli salad, and my favorite updated holiday tradition – Duo Tater Bake from Taste of Home!
The recipe is delicious and, even better, it simplifies your life. This one casserole is not only a surprising addition to the Thanksgiving table, but it can be prepared ahead of time AND takes the place of two traditional dishes – triple win! I’d highly recommend it if you’re looking for a unique way to serve your potatoes this year.
