Food Waste Friday keeps me responsible & accountable for my family’s food & finances…thanks to The Frugal Girl!
There I was last Thursday evening, relaxing with my husband and having this nagging feeling I had productive things I needed to get done.
The next morning I realized I hadn’t done my Food Waste post.
So, here’s two weeks’ worth. Not pretty
I didn’t get pics of everything but here’s my list:
- 2 breakfast mini-quiches
- 1/2 head lettuce
- 1/2 bunch cilantro
- about 1/8 cup of peach puree that had been in the fridge too long
- a cucumber
- 1/2 serving of oatmeal
On a positive note I used up 1/2 package of cole slaw veggies, a head of broccoli, the last few drops of an Asian marinade and some rice I had frozen from a previous meal and made a pretty fab chicken broccoli stir-fry with fried rice for dinner tonight.
